Hey luvs! I was just going to delete this account when I decided that I should write a quick good-bye in case anyone cares...
I'm soooooo busy (in a good way) these days with my "real life" job and with travelling back & forth to Seattle to see my boy that I just don't have time for kitten coquette any more! :p
I still like to model occasionally when I have the time but it's so at the bottom of my list these days...If I ever win the lottery I'll start running my site again, but 'till then I have to take a vacation from the "alt model" world...
Love you guys lots and THANX SO MUCH for all the support!!!!

Ugh, I can't sleep!
...decided it's time to maybe write an entry in this damn thing...
I have some big decisions to make regarding the possible demise of "Kitten Coquette"! HELP!
The truth is, I have NEVER really liked the name and it was created when I was dancing with a purely traditional burlesque troupe (which I did not enjoy) many years ago...I used to go by the name of "Lola Von Kitten", but when Dita started becoming more well known I was forced to change it....(no, I wouldn't use that name again)
I have definately changed as a person in the 8 years that I have been performing, and don't find that this character fits me at all anymore....What should I do!?!
I still enjoy modelling occasionally, but I don't really have the time or enthusiasm for "burlesque" anymore....if I'm going to be performing, I'd rather it be playing guitar in a band again!!!
I'm also finding that it's conflicting with my work, as I'm building a portfolio and wouldn't want to not get hired because of my "alter-ego".....which kinda sux....
arrrgh!....HELP ME!
...should I just change my "name", make a new website that is more "me" and continue with the occasional modelling?
....or just kill it and start focusing on other creative things (like music) and my job (graphic design & web dev)....
....or maybe figure out some way to do both!?!
Any advice?

Uhhh....what I meant to say in my last entry was "after work", a week later....uh, yeah... :p
Seems everytime I sit down to update this thing, the phone rings, I have to take off somewhere or some other distraction occurs....well, I've been partying a LITTLE bit too much since I've got back...I spent all of Sunday trying to detox my body with green tea and grapefruit...yep, way too much partying and now I'm broke so it's time to deal with reality.
I've been avoiding too many things that I've been afraid to deal with and now it's time to face up!
My time in LA was sooo much fun...did photoshoots with Robin Perine, Ashley Fontenot, Christine Kessler, and a video shoot with Tim Polecat (Persephone's hubby). I had a blast working with all these amazing peeps and I can't wait to see how all the pix turned out! ...Thank-you so much to Robin for letting me crash at her pad...she is one of the raddest chicks ever....can't wait 'till we start our band...he he! :P
After LA, I headed out to Long Beach to catch the Skulls/Briefs/Girls/Hemicuda/???(can't remember who else) and then to Santa Cruz and San Luis Obispo to see the Briefs/Horrorpops/Lars & the Bastards shows. Everybody was so nice and all the bands put on wicked shows...I love the Horrorpops go-go girls..so cute!
I had to make my sad good-byes that night and drive all the way back to LA to catch my flight in the morning...ugh, driving all night definately sucks...I even arrived at LAX way too early!
Well, today I am definately missing LA, my pals, my boy, and Mexican food...blah!
Can anybody ship some Del Taco burrittos up here? I'll pay the postage, I swear! :p
...SIDE NOTE...I actually wrote this entry earlier but my laptop was having some weird networking issues, which I've now (THANKFULLY) fixed! So, yeah...sorry if I left you all hanging by the seat of your pants with my last post...ha ha, YEAH RIGHT! :p

...soooo I finally get my brand spankin' new laptop...and guess what? Yup! I wrecked it! :-(
I guess I got a little over-excited about having a G4 and decided to download all the major system updates at once...NOT A GOOD IDEA!!!
So anyhoo, I lost everything I had on it and had to reinstall the whole system and start fresh again...well at least it happened now and not later...I didn't really lose too much..it was more just a major pain in the ass and time-consuming..
So my Birthday was awesome in case anyone was wondering! I got super-wasted, saw The Girls , went to the Railway, got lotsa Jager shots bought for me, got a ride in a Hummer blasting Slayer (don't ask how that came about...I'm not even too sure), went and partied at my friend's house, and then passed out with a snoring puppy beside me....good times!
Errr...what else? Oh yeah, well I'm stuck home tonight 'cause I think all the boozing last week gave me a kidney infection...not so good! What is good though, is that I'm saving my dough for when I head to LA on July 1st-7th!!!!! I can't wait, it's been way too long..... I'm hoping to get a couple of shoots in although I'll be pretty busy while I'm there...I should have a schedule of where I'll be when I'm out there in the next couple 'o days....
hmmm...well I'm super-tired so I'm gonna quit while I'm ahead so I don't start babbling nonsense...I need coffee (again)

Yup, I suck at updating my journal!
I've been super busy since I've got back from NY....I had an awesome time by the way, albeit waayyy too short a stay...I'll have to head back there some time when I have the time to actually shop 'n do some shoots 'n stuff!
Last weekend I did another cover shoot for the Nerve , featuring myself, Miss Fatima, and Angela of the Smears in a "tribute/spoof"(I pick the latter) of moustache rock.....it involves alot of fake facial hair, shaving cream, a razor and ....well you'll just have to see it when it comes out! :p I'll be doing a shoot in the upcoming weeks with Jeremy Jenson of Stitch Photography which I'm pretty excited about...I'm also pretty excited about the fact that I'm FINALLY getting a lap-top which should make my life ALOT easier! I can't wait! ACK!
Right now I'm working on this Flash project that's taking forever because I have to keep restarting my sad little G3 imac every hour 'cause the scratch discs get full so fast.....my new machine will make stuff like this alot more enjoyable!
Hmmm...what else is going on? Well....It's my Birthday on June 11th! I still haven't decided what I'll be doing to celebrate yet but I'm considering having a party at my place (which is probably a bad idea...) ! I know I want to do something semi-big this year but time is kinda running out for planning...oh well...

Here's a little recap of what's been goin' on with me in the last lil' while....got to wear a shiny silver catsuit with red stillettos for my friend's fashion show, booked my return ticket from NY for May 17th (I won't be there very long), had my car towed and thought it was stolen since the police couldn't locate it (they had my licence plate wrong!), finally set up my sewing machine and record player and I'm finally down to the last boxes for unpacking....and busyness at work like usual...
This weekend I'm heading down to Seattle for some shopping and to see the Epoxies on Sat. It will be fun, fun, fun!
I can't wait to head out to NY...it's my first time visiting the East Coast of the States! Anybody that knows any cool places that I should try and check out, please share! I'll only be there for 2 days and one night so I want to try to get in as much as I can!
Well, I gotta get up early for work so it's sleepytime now...G'night <3

....Geez....things have been weird-crazy for the past couple of months....between me ending a 3 year relationship and finally moving back to Vancouver permanently and all the stress and complications that moving, having to stay with my parents for a month, and being pretty much without internet for the past while brings......
So yeah....that said, I feel like I've finally returned to the land of the living. It's so awesome to have my own place downtown again, I'm close to my pals, close to my job...hell, close to everything!
I'm still working on unpacking, but once that's done I can get my ass to work updating the website and setting up shows and all the shoots I've been putting off for so long!
I haven't had access to my kittencoquette.com account for the past month so I'm really behind on emails there. :-(.....ok, I'm behind on everything, but I should be able to be a bit swifter on that end now that I'm not sharing my computer! He he :P
So what have I been up to lately? Well, hmmm, where to start.....I just got back from a trip to Seattle this weekend to see The Briefs....Go see 'em while they're on tour or....you'll suck! I'm working full-time at Bang-On now, doing graphic design and some web stuff...I designed the tattoo flash series all by myself so if you buy any of those designs you support me as well! ;-) I'm done school until Fall now, I'll be spending the Summer working on music with Sex Wolf, re-doing my website, and doing tons more shoots 'n shows.......well, that's all for now, my coffee's ready!

Ok, I owe everyone a big explanation of why I haven't posted here (or anywhere for that matter) in the past couple of months......Mainly being in school and working at my new job EVERY DAY has taken away any free time I have anymore. It's an hour & 1/2 to 2 hour drive to work every day (and back!) and that has been a huge stressor in my life lately. It's during rush hour in the morning and rush hour in the evening and by the time I get home all I want to do is collapse and sleep and then I have to get up at 6 in the morning and do it all over again! I try to do my homework on the weekends or in between classes on Tuesdays and this leaves me no time to just relax and hang out with my friends, update my site and various other web groups, reply to emails and such, or basically do anything creative not related to work or school...... :-(
So I've decided that I'm giving up my house and moving back to Vancouver in April/May. I love my place but it's just TOO far away from the city, work, school and my friends.....This should relieve a huge amount of stress in my life (and save me alot of money in gas! :P)
So I'd like to apologize for not posting and such....but in a couple of months I'll be able to start catching up and indulging in all my creative endeavours again!
Hmmm....what else has happened in the past lil' while? Well, I have bangs again! They almost cover my eyes and they're more "Nico" than "Bettie" if you know what I mean :P. I'll have to snap some quick digi photos of it when I have the chance. We're working on revamping the Ultra-Vixens Peepshow and moving towards more modern dance routines and getting away from the catchphrase of "burlesque", our new shows encompass way too many things to confine to one genre! We have some VERY exciting things in the works (which I can't reveal right now) but I will as soon as it's confirmed!
Well, hope everyone is well and I'm looking forward to the Summer....I'm probably going to make it down to LA again, and maybe some other places. I should finally redo my website and launch the ultra-vixens one as well.....so thanks for being patient with me right now, and I promise in a couple of months, I'll make it worth your while! ;-)

Wow, things have been so crazy this month....Finals, family visiting from Germany, awesome new job...lotsa partying...and now New Years is just around the corner! I'll be doing a show at the Lucky Bar in Victoria, BC on New Years eve.....so I hope to see all you Vic-cats there! The Ultra-Vixens will be doing our tribute to New-Wave, Glam & the '80's so get out yer skinny-ties 'n stillettos boys and ghouls!
